Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Smart choices was the most responsive of the three remodeling contractors we contacted. Rob met with us and listened to our ideas and needs, made additional suggestions to facilitate a better end product and gave us many choices. Moving through the process has included contact with the owner and the project manager to make sure we are all on the same page. Looking forward to an updated bathroom soon. Will up date this review on completion of the project.

Fire Feature Services

Our Fire Pit & Fireplace Services in Arizona

We build custom gas fire pits with dedicated gas line routing, electronic ignition, and safety shutoff valves — no matches or propane tanks needed. Choose from round, square, or linear designs in materials ranging from stacked stone to smooth stucco. Each fire pit is designed for safe clearances and built to code with a proper burner pan and fire glass or lava rock.

An outdoor fireplace creates a dramatic focal point and extends your backyard season well into Arizona's cooler months. We build both built-in and freestanding fireplaces in natural stone, stacked stone veneer, stucco, and custom masonry. Gas and wood-burning options are available, with chimneys and flues constructed for proper draft and safety.

Fire tables and fire bowls add warmth and ambiance with a sleek, modern look that works especially well in contemporary outdoor designs. Linear fire tables double as a dining or conversation centerpiece, while fire bowls make a striking standalone accent. We handle all gas connections and install each piece with safety-rated components.

Upgrade your existing fire pit or fireplace with a fresh stone veneer, gas conversion from wood-burning, a new burner system, or expanded seating walls around the perimeter. We can also add lighting, address safety issues, and improve fuel efficiency. A renovation gives your fire feature a brand-new look without the cost of a full rebuild.

FIRE PIT & FIREPLACE FAQ

Helpful Answers About Fire Pits & Fireplaces in Arizona

Have questions about fire features, gas vs. wood, or costs? Here are the most common questions from Arizona homeowners.

Customer Support

(480) 842-5981

How much does a fire pit cost in Arizona?

A basic gas fire pit starts around $2,000-$5,000. Custom stone or masonry fire pits with built-in seating range from $5,000-$15,000. Full outdoor fireplaces typically cost $8,000-$25,000+ depending on size and materials. Fire features pair beautifully with custom patios and pergola shade structures for a complete backyard retreat.

Is a gas or wood-burning fire pit better for Arizona?

Gas fire pits are more popular in Arizona because they’re cleaner, easier to control, and many HOAs restrict wood burning. However, wood-burning pits offer a traditional experience. We install both types and can help you choose. Either option complements an outdoor kitchen perfectly for entertaining.

Do fire pits need permits in Arizona?

Gas fire pits connected to a natural gas line require a plumbing/gas permit. Wood-burning fire pits may have additional restrictions depending on your city and HOA. We handle all permitting as part of our service.
